The Philadelphia Phillies were in need of a boost to avoid being swept by the New York Mets. Phillies fans like myself remember when we could count on Jimmy Rollins for such boosts, but those moments have been harder to come by. For someone who can put in such an effort on the field at his best, his lack of effort at his worst is often hard to sit through - as it was on Aug. 30.
